Why yet another devotional?

Recently the Lord spoke to me about His desire to bless people abundantly.

He then gave me direction to begin a new type of devotional which, drip by drip, would enable his people to step into their full covenant blessings.

John 10:10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Here is my passion behind it:

Poverty stinks on any level. It’s a curse which oppresses, steals, kills & destroys.

Abundance is the answer to poverty, but the fulness of God is a journey only successfully navigated by a good grounding in the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

The Kingdom of God leaves a wake of ‘righteousness, peace & joy’ (Romans 14:17) and the Bible tells us why: because God is passionate to work righteousness & justice for ALL who are oppressed (Psalm 103:6). Especially for all who have encountered the opposite of what the Kingdom of God seeks to bring.

Jesus’ life was teaching the spiritually poor; healing the sick and dying; delivering the oppressed; challenging the unjust and taking back what the enemy had stolen!

No truer word has been spoken than that which speaks about the Word of God being ‘living and active’. Problem is, we can be too busy, distracted, overwhelmed and discouraged to even know how best to grow in our understanding of these.

As a teenager I remember a friend speaking to another friend about how, when we receive the free gift of forgiveness, it means that Jesus’ sacrifice for us was not in vain.

Our new covenant/agreement promises were ratified by the cross, but there are many Old Testament covenant promises of which we may be ignorant.

The devil comes to kill, steal and destroy all the blessings owed to us, resulting in many of God’s children not knowing or living in His covenant protection and provision. This should not be!

Since the time of Abraham the thief has stolen the covenant inheritance of the children of God. No more! No more! No more!

Hebrews 12:28

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace {favour], by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Feeling compelled to address this problem, I have decided to create a new daily devotional going through the many covenant blessings (our inheritance) one aspect at a time, drawing on the Word and my encounters with the Spirit.

I look forward to you joining me on this journey.

Blessings in abundance!

About Tina

Tina had an encounter with the Lord and was sent into ministry in 1993 despite having had a tragic and challenging upbringing. Initially she resisted her call to ministry.

After training and some significant healing, She was then ordained in 1999 after 5 years of training and worker full time in ministry until she stepped down from parish ministry at the end of 2016 in obedience to the Lord.

In 2017 The Lord directed her to buy an old redundant church and create an Apostolic Prophetic hub to strengthen and encourage the Church, which was confirmed by several prophetic intercessors. She has since been commissioned as an apostle and with her husband, created a ministry called Eagles Rise International. (See www.eaglesriseinternational.com

Recently we launched Eagles Community Network, an online church in response to the Lord & the needs the Covid pandemic created.

Eagles Rise International is a ministry network of encouragement to strengthen the Bride of Christ here on earth to be inspired to fulfil her God-given call and purpose. It is overseen by Tina and Jasper Hodges whose apostolic, prophetic and evangelistic passion draws 'like-minds' to join them their Kingdom adventure!
